FORMAT

For most sessions, students will be guided to work in small teams enabling them to draw on a range of problem-solving skills and complete various tasks related to employment and work readiness.  Workshops will introduce students to a variety of business skills whilst exploring some ‘Real World’ scenarios.

POST 16 PATHWAYS

FORMAT

Our Post 16 Pathway delivery will raise awareness of the many opportunities and choices post 16.  These might relate to apprenticeship; part-time work with distance learning; further education and foundation courses; internships; volunteering in the charity sector; and work experience

IDEAL FOR

These workshops would be of value to:

Students not pursuing a route into Higher Education

Students financially disadvantaged

Those not able to take a university pathway

Those at risk of being NEET (See Medway NEET Data Below)

AIMS

We will supplement each programme with a one-to-one (or small group) support session for students.  Timings of these are not prescribed and these will be by appointment, to support students at the appropriate juncture with job seeker skills, interview skills, review of job/college applications and CV writing.

We will also raise awareness of opportunities and services locally: at MidKent College; Job Centre Plus; and locally through the Government’s Kick Start programmes.
