Service Description

The Combined First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid course is ideal for people who want to know how to help babies, children and adults in an emergency. Over 3 days; learners will cover: - CPR and defibrillation - Managing an unresponsive casualty - Choking - Burns and scalds - Wounds, bleeding and shock - Broken bones, fractures and dislocations - Meningitis - Asthma - Seizures and Epilepsy - Febrile convulsions - Anaphylaxis and Allergic reaction - Minor injuries Leaners will be assessed using both simulated scenarios and 2 multiple choice papers. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will achieve these qualifications: Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF


Cancellation Policy

By booking onto any first aid course, learners confirm that they are fit, well and able to complete any required practical elements of the course. For the purpose of the FAW/PFA Course, this means that learners can get to the floor unassisted and complete CPR for 2 minutes. Learners with any medical conditions which may affect this must contact us by email for advice: enquiries@raisingyouth.org.uk The full payment for the course is required 14 days before the course starts. Payments should be made online, to arrange alternative payment methods (BACS or Cash) please contact us by email: enquiries@raisingyouth.org.uk Learners may cancel their course online or by email. Cancellations made more than 7 days before course will be entitled to a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days will be subject to a £10 admin fee. Learners who fail to attend a course without notice aren't usually entitled to a refund unless there are exceptional circumstances. Learners must arrive to the venue promptly. Raising Youth CIO's Teaching Staff reserve the right to refuse entry to any learner who arrives late without notice. Learners should contact the tutor directly to advise them of running late. Learners must attend all sessions set by the tutor in order to be eligible for assessment of the full qualification.
