
This qualification meets the requirements for the Early Years Foundation Stage for practitioners with level 2 and 3 qualifications. The qualification is also suitable for parents, carers, grandparents and others who supervise and care for children.
This qualification also meets the Health and Safety Executive's requirements for First Aiders in the Workplace and is designed for Medium to High Risk settings.
DESCRIPTION
Over 3 Days, learners will develop the skills to provide emergency first aid to babies, children and adults until qualified help can arrive. Each topic will be covered for both infants (birth to 1), children (1 to puberty) and adults (from puberty).
TEACHING & LEARNING
Learners will be taught through a combination of tutor demonstration and simulated scenario practice. The tutor will provide constant support, guidance and feedback throughout the course.
